Good to know
- When to register a business name: You trade under any name other than your exact legal name.Source
- Certificates are ordered by email, fax or in person, not online, and are ready the next business day.Source
- The registry encourages a free search in CROS before you reserve a name.Source
- Register a business name within 90 days of reserving it, and renew every four years.Source
- To incorporate, reserve the name (not needed for a numbered company), then file the articles (Form 1), registered office (Form 2) and directors (Form 4) with the fees.Source
- The registry's pages moved to gnwt.ca, so older justice.gov.nt.ca links may no longer work.Source
